Telemetry
Units are an integral part of the Center for Heart Disease at Medical Center
Hospital. Telemetry floors include 4 Central and 9 Central. These floors are
designed to meet the needs of acutely ill inpatients who display signs and
symptoms of a cardiac disease or conditions that threaten cardiac stability.
Patients diagnosed with angina, arrhythmia, acute pulmonary edema,
Congestive Heart Failure, and coronary artery disease may be admitted to
telemetry floors. Telemetry floors also care for those patients who have had
coronary angioplasty or coronary stent placement, insertion of permanent
pacemaker or Automated Internal Cardioverter Defibrillator (AICD) placement.
4 Central Telemetry Unit also cares for those patients who have undergone
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, Heart Valve Replacement Surgery, or when
recovering from myocardial infarction (heart attack).
The telemetry unit facilities and staff are more reasons to make Medical
Center Hospital your choice for cardiac care. |
