Physical Therapy

Physical therapists at Medical Center Hospital evaluate and treat neurological, musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions resulting from injury, surgery or disease. Staff members use a wide variety of methods and individual treatment plans to improve the strength, mobility, balance and coordination of our patients. Some of these treatments include electrical stimulation, cold therapy, massage, therapeutic exercise regimens and muscle re-education. The department is designed as a large gym with treadmills, bicycles, free weights and mats. A separate hydrotherapy area with six whirlpools is also used for rehabilitation. Through physical therapy we help our patients maximize their abilities and improve the quality of their lives.
