We are deeply saddened to report the loss of MCH CareStar, along with two flight crew members, an infant patient and the patient's mother on March 21, 2004. Those lost are CareStar pilot Mickey Price, 46 of Dumas; hospital paramedic Paul Lujan, 32, of Odessa; Anna Lillia Urias, 20, and 3-month-old Pedro Urias Modesto, both of Mexico. Medical Center Hospital registered nurse Ronald Stephens, 35, of Midland, survived the crash and was taken to Covenant Hospital in Lubbock and is listed in serious but stable condition. Our prayers and sympathy are with the family members of the fallen crew, patient and his mother, and MCH colleague Ronald Stephens. This is a tremendous loss to Medical Center Hospital and the entire Permian Basin community. We appreciate all of the heartfelt words of support we have received from the community. A Memorial Service was held on March 22nd at 2:00 p.m. on the MCH Helipad, located at Washington and 4th Street.
